Our dedicated crew shows up hours before your charter to make sure our yachts are absolutely spotless inside and out. Your charter team will consist of one captain and one mate. Your captain will not only operate the vessel but also entertain you and make sure you are safe at all times. The mate helps with docking and sail handling, serves food and beverages, and caters to your every need. Joey Medaloni
(Captain / Managing Partner)
Captain Joey Medaloni, has traveled the East Coast, Bahamas, Virgin Islands and Mexico over the past 15 years. Joey’s licenses include 100 ton USCG Masters, Single, Multi, Instrument and Jet Commercial CE525/S pilot rating, Padi Dive Master, and STCW95. Proprietor of Medaloni Cellars and Vineyards in Yadkin Valley North Carolina.
Dustin Ryan
(Captain / Managing Partner)
Captain Dustin Ryan, an accomplished yachtsman with long voyages over many oceans under his belt. Dustin has spent the past 20 years sailing in waters from Hawaii to the Mediterranean Sea, including a transpacific sail in a 40ft sloop. An accomplished waterman Dustin is an avid surfer and loves ocean sports. License includes 100 ton OUPV, STCW95, Padi Diver, Firefighter 2 and First Responder.
Monique Askeland
(Mate / Customer Service Representative)
Monique is our customer service expert, with a background in fashion from NYC she combines her amazing talents and customer service skills with her newfound love of yachting to give our customers the best experience possible.
Madi Walker
(Mate / Office Manager)
Madi has extensive sailing experience and working towards her captain’s license. With a background in accounting she is the office wizard helping keep the business rolling. A true pleasure to sail and race with, you are lucky to have her as your crew member!
Quent Myers
(Captain)
Quent runs our motoryacht Kismet, he holds a 100-ton Masters License with Towing Endorsement, Padi Dive Master, First Responder, Firefighter 2. He got his start in the yachting industry on the Island of Maui where he captained the Pride of Maui for 10 years. Quent has been with Charleston Sailing Charters since 2017.
Scott Depung
(Captain / Fleet Manager)
Scott has worked on professional yachts since 2017, he holds a 100-ton Masters License, an expert in engineering and making things work. A 5-year USN Submarine veteran, Scott is an invaluable part of our team!
