Sail Charleston on Fate or Mystique
We accommodate small groups who enjoy sailing and we want you to participate as much, or as little, as you would like. Guests can sit back and relax or pilot the sailboat and be as active in the operation of the boat as they wish. Formal sailing instructions can be given as well. Sailing provides the perfect to atmosphere to relax and get away from it all.
Whats Included?
All charters are crewed with a professional Master Captain and First mate to cater to your every need. We can provide a full history tour or just relax and listen to music while enjoying your favorite beverage on the bow.
Non alcoholic beverages are included with the charter, the fridge is fully stocked with Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite and bottled water. We have an additional refrigerator dedicated to your provisions or alcoholic beverages that you wish to bring. See the catering page for options ranging from gourmet sandwich boxes to 4 course dinners that can be delivered to the boat for additional fees. We also have plates, silverware, napkins available for your use. A microwave can be used to heat up items if needed.
What do you need to bring?
Its great to dress for the weather, we ask everyone to remove their shoes in the summer but in the winter we ask you wear non marking soft soled shoes. A light jacket or windbreaker is great to have in the winter or fall, give us a call if you have any questions.
Wedding or Marriage proposal?
For that very special occasion, make sure you ask how we can help assist in your planning. We have dozens of romantic marriage proposals each year, and we go along way to make sure everything is perfect! We can arrange many different situations so your loved one will not suspect a thing, photography can be included to capture every moment.
Can we do more than 2 hours?
Yes, our calendar is set up in two hour increments, if you would like to add an hour or two please give us a call at 843-557-7403 to discuss the best times and availabilities for your longer trip. Additional hours are $300 per hour, for all charters longer than three hours we do add a base gratuity of 16% plus tax and cc fee.
Tax and CC fee added at checkout. For 2 hour charters, gratuity is not included but customarily 18-20% industry wide, cash or venmo accepted.

Best for viewing dolphins, the calm water and light winds are very peaceful and makes dolphin sightings easier. We usually see dolphins every day but we do not guarantee it. The views of the city are also best in the morning light.

A great way to experience sailing and to see the city and explore more of the harbor. Stronger winds usually pick up after noon and give us more speed helping the boat go a little faster and is a bit more exiting. We can see dolphins as well but the waves and boat traffic can make it more difficult.

The most popular and first to sell out are the sunset charters. The sun sets over the harbor creating amazing sunsets you wont soon forget. We return back the dock just after sunset.

All charter fees are fully refundable up to 7 days prior to departure for any reason. Just give us a call and we will issue a refund. Within 7 days there is a 50% refund or we can reschedule at no charge. There is no refund within 24 hours.
Cancelation due to weather is at the discretion of the captain at the time of departure. We do not base our charters off the extended forecast and always show up to the boat, 9 times out of 10 if the forecast says rain, it will be sunny and perfect to go sailing. We cancel less than 1% of our charters due to foul weather. If the captain chooses to cancel due to unsafe or unpleasant weather you will be given the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
